exo Surfaces is a quickly growing start-up in the architectural products industry dedicated to the design, engineering, fabrication, and delivery of façade systems. We are in search of a full-time Regional Sales Manager to work out of our office in downtown Chicago, IL. If you are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive when collaborating with a variety of talented people, then you might be exactly who we are looking for! As a Regional Sales Manager, you will cover the Chicago area market and drive sales for exo’s growing range of architectural façade products. Our sales program has built-in growth, and this position offers significant income potential. What you'll do as the Regional Sales Manager, Chicago:
Develop territory and drive revenue objectives for the Chicago, IL region.
Drive sales activities to meet specific goals for specifications, quotes, and closes.
Make regular scheduled sales calls and cold calls to meet with architects, designers, developers, owners, and other industry stakeholders, including in-person and virtual meetings.
Deliver effective sales presentations to convey the value proposition of exo’s products and services.
Perform material take-offs and estimate preparation.
Transform leads into specifications by working with architects to offer creative solutions to their design challenges.
Develop a healthy sales pipeline, including a balance of targets, prospects, and qualified leads.
Accurately forecast sales pipeline to sales team and management.
Proactively follow up and nurture leads from the specification process to the completed project.
Maintain current and working knowledge of all exo products as well as an understanding of competitive products and their pricing.
Develop a network of qualified installers and contractors in the Chicago region.
Meet with architects, contractors, and installers on the job site during the construction phase to document progress and provide specific site support.
Continuously monitor and analyze current and future market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and make strategic decisions.
What should be in your tool kit:
5+ years of experience in commercial contracting, architectural, or construction sales with a strong technical aptitude.
Proven success working with architects, designers, contractors, and developers.
Project management and estimating experience.
Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where the playbook is being created.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and sustain client relationships, driving human connections.
A measured balance of patience and persistence in a sales cycle.
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills and ability to conduct strong and effective in-person and virtual meetings.

Ability to travel as required.
