We are in search of a full-time Shop Assistant with a great attitude to join our team based in Turtle Creek. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth!
Requirements
General job responsibilities include:
Shipping/Receiving:
Responsible for the unloading/loading of deliveries.
Checking the manifest against what was delivered.
Stocking the material once it has been checked for quality control.
Collecting and packaging materials for outgoing shipments.
Operate forklift.
Shop Support:
Provide assistance to Shop Lead with material fabrication and other assigned tasks.
Breakdown and repackaging of materials.
Prepare material for packaging; taping boxes.
Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of the shop, including sweeping the floor daily.
Miscellaneous tasks that may arise: painting, assisting with the use of the table saw, organizing, inventory.
Perform basic routine maintenance.
Adhere to health and safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work productively on a repetitive basis is required.
Flexible and open to direction, accepting constructive feedback readily.
Physical Requirements: this position requires the ability to move on a continuous basis to efficiently get to various work areas, prolonged standing, and must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Background check will be performed.
Proof of full vaccination for COVID-19.
Experience with the following is a plus, but not required:
Experience in manufacturing, service, or assembly is preferred.
Operation of: CNC Machine, Drill Press, Forklift, Table Saw, Wet Saw, and Pallet Strapping
Compensation:
Hourly starting at $20.00 / hour, commensurate with experience.
